Summary:

This was my first time experiencing this, it always just worked. So i've got to do an alsamixer 101. Now i'm a happy camper, with a new multimedia kernel, new alsa drivers, new usb midi interface working (no midi message glitches), now i can do my midi pre-production production, or listen to music collection. The only thing i haven't figured out is how to get midi playback from the onboard snd-es1968. I believe it's a Wave Synth, and there is a midi port for it in rosegarden4, but i never hear anything, and i don't see a midi channel in alsamixer.
It's not a priority right now because it probably sounds crappy any way, it's objective is to always play multi-track midi channels using my outboard midi gear through the USB MIDI Interface , and sometimes zyaddsubfx or amsynth and hydrogen when needed.

Any help appreciated.
